We have organised a children’s celebration around World Aids Day. It was overshadowed by an attempted robbery upon our “HOKISA Doctor” Peter Jacka who was seriously injured. Never before has a crime like this happened in Masiphumelele. All people who live and work here are standing together in support of Dr Jacka and against crime. Only two days later more than 800 children and their parents came to our celebration under the motto ” Sisonke Siyakhathala - wena? Together we can care - do you?”
Dr Jacka is determined to return to Masiphumelele once his injuries have healed.
