On Thursday night HOKISA felt World Cup 2010.
We were there!
After weeks of excitement and anticipation the day finally arrived where we would take all the children and staff of HOKISA to World Cup 2010 in South Africa. We were off to watch Holland vs Cameroon at the Cape Town Stadium and you could feel the excitement in the air for days before as the children practised their vuvuzela blowing and debated whether they would wear orange or green to the match.
We had wonderful seats in the stadium and got to feel up close and personal…, the beauty of the game, the sea of orange of the passionate Dutch fans, the unbelievable sound of the vuvuzela’s, three beautiful goals, a deserved victory by the Dutch and the incredible experience of being part of what they call “the greatest show on earth”.
Despite the fact that Bafana Bafana is out of the World Cup, we as South Africans are all still in this World Cup!
Bafana Bafana made us proud and brought our nation together.
We are proud to be hosting the greatest World Cup ever!
Sounds wonderful and I am sure the kids had the time of their lives and an experience they will never forget. Stories likes these are what the World Cup is all about - making the people, and the youth in particular, happy and proud. Well done, HOKISA and all who played a part in organising the fantastic outing!!
Hi everybody!
We are so happy that you all got to see such a good World Cup game! It must have been a great experience to be there and feel it. We are also enjoying watching the games and the people very much. We love this World Cup more than any other because it is in South Africa.

It has been so much fun watching the World Cup Soccer here in California. My friends and peers say this is the best World Cup Soccer ever! Makes me proud! I am so happy for all of you but especially for the children of HOKISA to have seen a game. The joy, excitement and pride of South Africa has been so fulfilling to see.
By the way, Peta and Yossi, are you anchored in Oriental, NC on your boat?

So pleased that you had the chance to also feel what this World Cup was all about - the uniting of South Africans in supporting what our country has managed to achieve. We must make sure that this feeling will last long after the football is over. Daphne.
