I started running last year because I had no access to a pool to swim while I was travelling. By Christmas last year I was hooked and running 5km every second day. The weather was extremely bleak in the UK winter this year of course being a South African I was just longing for sunshine and doing something outdoors. So putting this all together I decided to try and do the London triathlon. Been training all year, some of it has been hard but overall very rewarding. I am quietly confident that I am ready to complete the race. Would like to try and complete in under 1 hr 30 minutes. Wish I had practiced so hard when I did my Argus Cycle tours.

Personally, a South African living and working in UK for 9 years now. Left SA to get further business opportunities and have spent lot of time doing business in many different countries. Travelling and working in different cultures and with different people has been very rewarding. We live in West London in a “Garden Flat” and are both keen gardeners and love spending time at home.

Why HOKISA? My father always speaks very highly of Lutz and has been involved since the early days in the organisation, linked to this my brother Tim designed HOKISA as the architect. So hopefully I can bring a little bit of support to the team at HOKISA. All the team do such wonderful work and it is a worthwhile cause that changes lives!
