We had our very own football coaching session with Masiphumelele Football Club who arrived today at HOKISA in big numbers and were warmly welcomed to HOKISA by Simphiwe and our children.
It was a wonderful and succesful day and the start of a great community partnership with Masi FC. The team have decided that they want to give back to their own community and offered their valuable skills and talent to our children and it was greatly appreciated by all of us at HOKISA. Masi FC are an up and coming team and came 2nd in their league last year. They are motivated and inspiring young men who taught the children some valuable football and life lessons.
The children scored goals and saved them, did dribbling moves, headers and many more great drills with the team guiding them all the way. They also had special ‘MAGIC’ tricks that they showed the children and had really come prepared with all sorts of wonderful games to enjoy. Much talent and enthusiasm was shown amongst our children and the team enjoyed the energy and happiness of the HOKISA playground very much.
Neighbourhood children joined in and we even had a crowd watching from the fence - it was a day that we were very proud of at HOKISA!
Our little children made a speech at the end of the day to thank the team for coming and the team thanked us for welcoming them. They have also invited us to come and support them in one of their games this season! Thank you for the footballs you left for the children to keep - they have not stopped playing since you left!
